T2W2 Day 8 - ANZAC

Today I read an interesting Anzac story about a Turkish soldier who's life was saved by a pocket watch.

  1. Wonderful words, your writing was both insightful and well set out. I enjoyed learning how your whanau has paid respect to those who have served and protected us. It was awesome to hear that you will all be participating in the StandAtDawn ceremony. Your maths work was so well set out, I enjoyed the versus symbol and could clearly see your thinking. Your conclusions were well thought out, I was impressed with all the pre-thinking you put into your investigation, e.g. same brands, sizes. The poppies you and TJ made, he tino ataahua! They look awesome on the fence, or porch? Wonderful korua, see you next wiki.

    1. Thanks Ms G. Our StandAtDawn service was a bit sad. only a handful of neighbours came out but that didn't stop my Dad from blasting the Last Post and the Anthem on his speakers for the ones that did show up. We saw some house lights switch on and curtains being pulled back and we all had a little chuckle to ourselves. The shopping task started off easy until I realised that the size of some products were not the same and I didn't think it was fair and that different brands had different prices but for the same product. I ended up updating my shopping cart a few times until it was as fair as I could get it to see who truly is the cheapest supermarket. I don't know how mum checks the food labels and price tags everytime she goes shopping.
